Repair Work

Any of our items can be repaired and if the problem falls under our warranty we will repair or replace with no charge for the item.  However a the maker of a vintage item may no longer be in business or a current manufacturer simply doesn’t offer repair of their own items.  Contact us and let’s talk about what you have and we may be able to give you some options.  Please note however there is a difference between a craftsman and a magician.  We can repair and/or remake a lot of things but we can’t work with something that is no longer there as in the case when leather is rotted or worn away.

We don’t repair shoes/boots/footwear. That is the realm of the cobbler and they are best suited to address your needs.  We can restitch by hand, repair/replace leather covered handles,  patch holes, re-enforce corners, etc.  We can also re-dye and likely get it close through exact color matching the rest of the item will not be possible due to the difference in age of the original product and the repair.

In the case of larger items like satchels, cases, trunks etc., we can make larger leather parts that will keep the item in service and more importantly in the family instead of being tossed out.  We’ve repaired holsters, harnesses, guitar cases, instrument cases, tool cases, belts, patio/deck canopies, LE Duty gear, vintage scope covers and so on.  Prices start at $25 hour but in-person or email estimates are free.
